In recent years, Barcelona has made a name for itself as one of Europe’s entrepreneurial hotspots. The Catalonian capital is considered to be the second smartest city in the world and is home to a sprawling talent pool of developers, tech innovators and experts in international commerce.
In between dipping your toes in the sea, you’ll likely need to find a place to start working on your next big idea. To help you out, we’ve curated a list of the top ten coworking spaces in the Spanish capital.

📍Ronda de Sant Pere, 52, Ático, 08010 Barcelona
When Aticco’s founders came to set up their space, they realized that what Barcelona really lacked was an enjoyable coworking environment. With this in mind, the founders launched Attico with the accompanying slogan of “Where the crazy ones become geniuses.”
From the bright and airy rooms with high ceilings and wooden furnishings to the outdoor terrace with views of the Spanish capital, Aticco aims to create a pleasant environment for coworkers to think, create, share, express, learn and, above all, enjoy.

Located in the bohemian neighborhood of Gràcia in a former textile factory, Betahaus Barcelona is a cozy and convenient spot for anyone seeking a place to knuckle down and work. In addition to standard coworking facilities, the space has a members-only cafe, rooftop terrace and even private rooms for yoga and tai chi. A quiet corner to relax with a book? Betahaus has got that too.

Since launching as a venture builder in 2011 to help innovative startups grow in-house, Itnig has created its own ecosystem. Located in 22@, Barcelona’s innovation district, Itnig sprawls across two floors and plays host to three of their very own startups, Camaloon, Factorial and Quipu. Itnig’s CEO Bernat Farrero says: “We’re not just a coworking space. We have lots of networking opportunities, events with interesting speakers and options to collaborate with very talented people.”
📍Ronda de Sant Pau 47, 08015 Barcelona
Launched in the early days of 2015, MOB was one of the first-ever coworking spaces to open in Barcelona. The refurbished old school building in the Saint Antoni neighborhood welcomes a creative cohort of freelancers and small startup teams and offers open spaces as well as offices for four to eight people. In addition to its relaxed, cozy environment – where dogs are welcome, too – MoB offers its members legal services, business advice and training.

OneCoWork Catedral’s prime location on Via Laietana, a major thoroughfare in Barcelona, just five minutes away from the Jaume I and Urquinaona metro stations, is just one of the attributes of this classy coworking hub. Inside, contemporary floral artwork compliments an array of vintage handmade chairs, seating baskets and sofas.
In addition to paying close attention to the design of the space, OneCoWork aims to provide their members with everything they need, from a range of seating environments to marketing and recruitment support.

Launched in 2013, Pier 01 is the coworking headquarters of nonprofit membership organization Barcelona Tech City, which is home to more than 950 members. Shaped like a doughnut, the nineteenth-century warehouse is a five-story facility with a multitude of auditorium spaces, as well as a bustling canteen that accepts biometric payments for coffee. Pier01’s location is also convenient: the space is only a minute’s walk from Barceloneta metro station.
Note: anyone who wants to work at the coworking space needs to be a Barcelona Tech City member.

Walking through the doors of Spaces 22 Arroba is like stepping into the future: its towering glass windows allow natural light to shine into the interior and its minimalist furnishings make each room feel even taller. The space offers fresh cuisine and cold beverages on-site and is just a stones-throw away from the local beach. While entrepreneurs and freelancers work away, the team at Spaces 22 takes care of the small details, from providing you with audiovisual equipment or whiteboards to directing you to a mind-mapping room or games facility.
📍Carrer de Tànger 86, 08018 Barcelona
Launched in 2018, WeWork Glòries is one of three WeWork locations in Barcelona. Each space has a distinctly local vibe, showcasing the work of many Barcelonian artists and designers. WeWork Glòries boasts an array of spacious meeting rooms and common areas, as well as a rooftop terrace with a spectacular view. Community Manager María Baños Egüen says: “Next to our prime locations and our global network, it’s the consistency of quality across all our spaces worldwide that our members love.”
